Tobruk

Tobruk was an ancient Greek colony and then a Roman fortress. This port town on eastern coast of  Libya, in the historical Cyrenaica province is well known to the Polish people, because during the Second World War II the Allied forces, with the participation of the Polish soldiers were fighting against allied forces of Germans and Italians. There is a famous cemetery with numerous soldiers graves, including the Polish soldiers.
